Period for registration

Participants must make a registration regardless of making presentation or not. All presenters must register for both 1) participation and 2) presentation.

  • For early bird discount, you must complete payment by July 5.
  • Please note that you must complete payment until July 5. Otherwise the regular rate will be applied to your payment after that day, even with the early bird registration.
  • If you make a registration after July 5, the regular fee will apply to your registration.

Invitation to the Japanese Photochemistry Association membership

  • The JPA members can benefit from a discount of the registration fee. If you are not a member yet, please take this opportunity to become a member of the JPA.
  • The JPA membership discount will not apply to students, but you must be a member of the JPA if you make entry to the Best Presentation Award for Students.
  • Membership application is completed upon payment of the annual membership fee.
  • After application, the JPA Secretariat will send you an invoice mail. Please make a payment as indicated in the message.
  • After confirming your payment, the Secretariat will issue and inform you of your membership number. Please apply to the membership at your earliest convenience as it will take a few days for the Secretariat to provide you with your membership number after your payment.

  • Presentation types : Oral presentation, Poster presentation
  • Presentation language : English or Japanese
  • A maximum of oral presentations for one lab is two in total, with only one oral presentation by student at most.
  • Many items are required for registration. Before registration, please check the registration form and have all the information necessary for registration ready at hand.
* Notification of Presentation number
  • The secretariat will notify "the presentation number" by email before the beginning of the abstract submission period.
C: Please submit your abstract (PDF) via "abstract submission form".
  • Period for abstract submission: June 22 (Wed.) - July 5 (Tue.), 2016
  • The file name must be "Presentation number.pdf" referring to your presentation number notified by the Secretariat. (Ex.:1A01.pdf, 3P101.pdf)
  • Please embed font completely into your PDF file.

  • Only students who can sufficiently respond to the questions from the audience are accepted for oral presentation.
  • A maximum of oral presentations for one lab is two in total, with only one oral presentation by student at most.

    Entry to the Best Presentation Award for Students

    The numbers to be accepted as recommendation
    the Best Presentation Award for Students.(Oral)1 student per 1 lab

    • A applicant must be a student member of the JPA if he/she is recommended for the Best Presentation Award for Students.
      *If you are not a member yet, please become a member and pay the annual membership fee before entry to this award.
    • Please choose "Entry" to the Best Presentation Award for Students on the registration form for presentation.
    • A letter of recommendation from their supervisors is necessary for the entry.
    • A supervisors of an applicant confirms that he/she is a member of the JPA before issuing a letter of recommendation.
    • Download the format of the letter of recommendation for the Best Presentation Award for Students (word , pdf )
    • Please prepare a PDF file with a signature of the supervisor.
    • In case of too many applicants, they are preliminary selected based on the abstract and a letter of recommendation.
    D: Please send the letter of recommendation (PDF) via the recommendation submission form.

    The bank account for annual membership fee for the Association is different from the one for the registration of the meeting.
