Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentations

• Each oral presentation is 20 min (12 min presentation, 7 min discussion, and 1 min changeover). Please keep strictly to the schedule.
• Please bring your own computer and connect it to the projector via HDMI. Bring an adapter if needed, and check the connection before your session. Please also bring your presentation on a USB flash drive as a backup.
• Please bring your own laser pointer for hygiene purposes.

Poster Presentations

• The poster board is 900 mm wide and 2100 mm high.
• Each poster session lasts 100 min. Presenters with odd-numbered posters should present during the first 50 min, and those with even-numbered posters during the second 50 min. Applicants for the Best Presentation Award (Poster) must present for the full 100 min.
• Please put up your poster with pins before the session and remove it afterward.

Substitute Presentations Due to Illness

• Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have symptoms such as coughing, headache, sore throat, fatigue, or a fever of 37.5°C or higher. Please ask a co-author to present for you if possible. Otherwise, please inform the conference office as soon as possible. Substitute presenters should state at the beginning of the presentation that they are presenting on behalf of the original presenter.

Types of Presentation

• Oral presentation, Poster presentation

  Oral Presentation: 20 minutes (12 min presentation, 7 min discussion, 1 min for change of the speakers)

• Students may make an oral presentation, but they must be able to sufficiently respond to the questions from the audience.
• The number of oral presentations from one lab is limited to two in total in principle, with only one oral presentation by student per lab.
